Announcements:
- To date we have donated 258 computers to individuals or groups. This year we have donated 37.
- To date we have conducted 424 installs on laptop and desktop computers. This year we have conducted 83.
- We have 40 people on our mailing list, 59 people on our Facebook page.
- We have 9 desktop computers and 2 laptop computers ready for donation.
Future Presentations:
- 24 November, “How to prepare Linux install media for your computer” by Rex Bouwense
- TBA, “LaTex & Texstudio” by George Self
Discussion/Activities:
- There were no problems or questions raised during the meeting.
- There was a short discussion about a possible AI presentation to repair or assist in changing things on your computer. No one wanted one.
- Highest praise and recognition went to Devi who has redesigned parts of the website to make updating easier to the dismay of at least one of the members responsible for the chore.
- Amy, a guest/member from Louisiana, has graciously volunteered to take care of our Facebook page in an attempt to increase the attendance at our meetings.
Aftermath:
- Several members retired to Culver’s to enjoy a meal and to continue to discuss Linux and CLUG related topics.
