upgraded from mint 21.1 to 21.3 bypassing 21.2 without issue.

my comment about disk space being less than 320 GB was correct but what i was seeing was space available for each of the dual boot OSs (my bad).

battery probably no good on the ASUS laptop ... can live without it but will research cost to replace anyway.
