08 May, Sierra Vista Ubuntu Hour, 1800-1900, Schlotzsky’s Cafe, 3900 Fry Blvd, Sierra Vista.
Announcements:
To date we have donated 167 computers to individuals or groups and conducted 267 installs on laptops and desktops.
We have 34 people on our mailing list and 51 members on our Facebook page.
We have 5 desktop computers ready for donation.
Discussion and Activities:
Discussed the closing of the native grill and Wings where the next meeting was to be held. There will be an announcement changing the location to Vinny’s.

Assisted a member in retrieving data from a computer that would not boot after an unsuccessful update. Merely booted the computer from a live flash drive, mounted the hard drive in question, and copied the data successfully to a second USB mounted hard drive.
