Bisbee Science Lab

From Rex Bouwense · Apr 01, 2022

I drove to Bisbee to check out the Bisbee Science Lab, 519 Melody Lane, which is only open on Fridays.  I met with the Program Director, Amie Esteves,  and their IT guy, John Miller, who is also a retired engineer.  It is possible that we can provide them with assistance installing a Linux OS on some of their their computers.  They may also want a class on just how to operate them.  I took two of their computers back to Sierra Vista, found AC adapters for them, charged the batteries, and installed Ubuntu 20.04.4 on both of them without incident.  Hopefully, they will be picked up tomorrow when I give Mr Miller a tour of what we have done for the Warrior Healing Center.  They are dealing with middle school and high school students.  This is an excellent chance to expand our group with younger members even if we only have them for a short period of time.
