Use of mailing list
From Rex Bouwense · Mar 14, 2024
I realize that I have provided this information before. However,
because of recent actions I feel obligated to once again state the
obvious. One of the major purposes of the mailing list is to provide a
forum for members to ask questions or present a problem that they are
having with their Linux OS. When the question or problem is presented
as a reply to some completely different email, any answers are also
hidden in some obscure subject such as "Re: Sierra Vista Ubuntu Hour"
when the real subject should be the actual problem or question. If
someone is looking for a solution in the mailing list archives they will
obviously miss the answer or solution as well as the question or
problem. I salute the members who respond to the questions or problems
presented and trust the effort that they put forth is not wasted. They
are among the best of the best. So if you want to ask a question or
present a problem to the mailing list please do not reply to an
unrelated email. Send your own email to: cochiselinux@freelists.org
with the subject being related to your question or problem. You will
get a response stating that it has been received and hopefully you will
continue to receive the assistance that has been provided in the past.
Thank you. Rex Bouwense --------------------------------------------------------------------
