Meeting Notes:

• With the release of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS on 23 April 2026, there was a requirement to install the new version on those computers that the group had renovated and were awaiting donation as well as the computers that were in the Warrior Healing Center computer lab. This was accomplished by Devi and Rex starting on 01 May 2026 and concluded on 15 May 2026.

ACTIVITIES:

• In total 28 installs were accomplished (20 Ubuntu, 2 Xubuntu, 2 Lubuntu, 1 Ubuntu-Cinnamon, 1 Kubuntu, 1 Ubuntu-Mate, and 1 Linux Mint Debian Edition). Minor glitches were discovered but all were successful. These installs included the 5 computers that we maintain for the Warrior Healing Center in their computer lab.
• When installing Ubuntu, the page where you are asked your location no longer has a drop down menu for you to choose the desired location. Merely start typing Phoenix and the options will appear. Choose Phoenix, Arizona to get the time zone correct.
• Once again for your information; there is no 26.04 release for Ubuntu-Mate and there is no LTS release for Ubuntu-Unity (It is only a intermediate release supported for only nine months). All other flavors have a LTS release and are available for download at https://ubuntu.com/desktop/flavors.
