Announcements:

• To date we have conducted 175 installs on laptop and desktop computers and donated 103 computers to individuals and groups.
• We have 42 people on our mailing list and 37 members on our Facebook page.
• We have 1 laptop and 8 desktop computers ready for donation.
• We have been in touch with John DeLala. There is no IEEE presentations scheduled for the near future, however he is hoping to revitalize the program shortly and will keep in touch with us.

Discussion/Problems?Questions:

• Rex reintroduced the Linux Distribution Familiarization Project that had originally been introduced about 18 months ago. It is a way for our members to become familiar with distributions that are not normally used by beginning Linux users. It was decided to kick it off at the next meeting.
• Gene raised a question about why the cursor changed size on his new Ubuntu install when using VLC. This has happened to no one else so we set up an experiment with his hard drive and after a reinstall of VLC the cursor was working perfectly. Perhaps it was a bad download or a bad first install.
