To date we have donated 208 computers to individuals or groups. This year we have donated 59.
and conducted 328 installs on laptop and desktop computers. This year we have conducted 75.
We have 39 people on our mailing list, 52 members on our Facebook page, and 9 people on our Discord channel.
We have 7 desktop computers and 3 laptop computers ready for donation.
In addition we have 1 desktop computer and 1 laptop computer with Microsoft Windows 10 installed. Both have been reset if anyone wants them before we put a Linux OS on them.
Future Presentations:

24 February, “Using a Virtual Machine” by Rex Bouwense
TBD, “LaTex & Texstudio” by George Self
TBD, “Using Remmina” by Rex Bouwense
Presentation:

25 November, “Artificial Intelligence” by George Self
Discussion/Activities:

Discussed the use of computers during presentations to give the members a hands on capability.
Discussed the use of the 19 remaining computers that we received from the ASCU. They are all i5’s or i7’s with 8 or 16 Gbs of RAM. Hopefully we can take care of most of them at the next Linux Workshop.
Those not on the mailing list or Discord were urged to sign up for one or preferably both.
Aftermath:

Several of the members retired to Culver’s for a hamburger and fries and some additional Linux conversation.

I enjoyed george's chatgpt brief a lot but because of my hearng issue I did not get the "help to linux users" from george's cell phone at end of briefing. Will  someone please summarize what the cell phone advice was.

Oh, nice! Chatting with some Linux pros is always fun. Honestly, for folks who are already really good with Linux, I'd say dive into some of the more advanced customization and automation tools if they haven't already. Something like really fine-tuning Conky for their desktop or scripting more complex tasks with Bash or Python to streamline their workflows could be a fun challenge. Basically, just encourage them to explore those little corners of customization that can make their system super unique and even more efficient.
