Cochise Linux User Group meeting

A CLUG meeting was held on 21 October 2015 at 5-6:30 pm. in classroom
C165A North, University of Arizona Sierra Vista campus. There was a
presentation on Engineering Careers in the Electrical Utility Industry
co-sponsored by the University of Arizona Continuing Education
Department and the IEEE Fort Huachuca Section. Those of you that
couldn't make it, we missed you. The next CLUG meeting is scheduled for
Saturday 7 November, 2-4 pm, at the Sierra Vista public library
conference room. Try to make it if you can. There is also a Ubuntu Hour
scheduled for tomorrow at the Schlotzsky's Cafe, 3900 East Fry Blvd. 6-7
pm. The purpose is to provide a forum to educate the public about
Ubuntu. If you use Ubuntu and would like to meet others who do as well
or just want to learn about it, plan to join us for some lively
conversation.

Cochise Linux User Group meeting

Next Saturday will be the first Saturday meeting of the Cochise
Linux User Group. Saturday meetings were discussed as a possible
solution to the Job and class schedule conflicts of the Wednesday
meetings. The Saturday meetings will be in addition to the regular
Wednesday meetings. The first Saturday meeting will be held on 7
November from 2-3:45 pm. at the Sierra Vista public library conference
room, 2600 E. Tacoma Street, Sierra Vista AZ 85635. Please attend if you
can.
The regular Wednesday meeting will still be held on 18 November at
5 pm. at the University of Arizona Sierra Vista campus, classroom C165A
North, 1040 N. Colombo Avenue, Sierra Vista 85635. There will be a free
presentation co-sponsored by the University of Arizona Continuing
Education Division and the IEEE Fort Huachuca Section on Understanding
and Implementing Agile Scrum. The business meeting will commence
immediately after the presentation. If you intend to attend the
presentation please PSVP to Dr John DeLalla at jd@arizona.edu.
In addition to the two CLUG meeting this month, there will also be
a Ubuntu Hour on 19 November from 6-7 pm. at Schlotzsky's Cafe, 3900
East Fry Blvd., Sierra Vista AZ 85635. If you use a Ubuntu or other
Linux Operating System and want to chat about it over a cup of coffee,
glass of soda, or a great sandwich, or just want to learn about Linux

Cochise Linux User Group meeting

Friendly reminder that the next Cochise Linux User Group meeting is
scheduled for 5 December 2015 at the Sierra Vista public library
conference room (2600 E. Tacoma St) from 1400 to 1545. Following the
announcements, news, presentation (by hippyjake), and discussion we will
once again adjourn to Vinny's New York Pizza (1977 Frontage Road - off
of AZ92) for pizza and some more Linux/FOSS discussion. Last month's
gathering went really well with 11 people present for the meeting and
many family members joining us for pizza. Please attend if you can.
