attempting it gain..
From Devi Garcia · Oct 12, 2017
attempting linux 100% again.. even tho i own a full fledged high end gaming PC.. i realize i rarely "actually" game on it.. but instead just browse web.. read comics or just mess with my NAS... so im once again attempting linux to get away from windows.. since its annoying.. haha so far from my screenshot... i got Budgie loaded with Gnome 3 also.. on top of Antergos (Arch Linux) with just some basic applications installed so far.. haven't fully set it up.. even got my VPN installed and working... but mostly my fstab and NAS took biggest pain in the ass..
//ip/share /home/user/folder cifs username=user,password=password,uid=1000,defaults 0 0
is essentially the line i needed for every share.. to FINALLY.. have correct RW access from my NAS on my Linux machine.. didn't have that last time.. always gave me some errors on permissions but this time seems i finally got it working.. so for anyone using a NAS/Server/FTP that may help you automount those shares on boot like i am doing now
tomorrow we will see what other issues i come into when trying to replace my windows applications with linux equivalents..
