I'm in the mode to just settle long term with a reliable distribution. This CachyOS experience came about when setting up an external GPU (eGPU) using the thunderbolt port. The Nvidia drivers are baked into the CachyOS kernel. I expected to return to Debian or Ubuntu, however, CachyOS and as suggested, Omarchy, can actual improve the performance of older computers. Ideally, I want the least amount of trouble shooting or fixing issues, that will allow for a steady workflow.
