steam wouldn't work because the game is an epic store exclusive... and those are two different platforms...

but it won't work on linux period.... EAC (EasyAntiCheat) prevents most of these types of games from being able to work in Wine/Proton or anything like that so you're basically SOL on anything but a natively supported platform for that game...

https://lutris.net/games/fortnite/ it will launch.. but that's about it...

Before fortnite there was tf2...  Which happens to run in Linux via steam.  As option b at least.
