Computer Kiosk Project

We have been asked by Tim Kirk of the Warrior healing Center if we
can create a Linux kiosk computer that can inform veterans of the the
capabilities of the Warrior healing Center and allow them to register
for assistance at remote sites throughout Cochise County. This computer is designed to be a prototype for 6-10 computers that
will eventually be located in Douglas, Benson, Bisbee, Willcox,
Tombstone, Sunsites, and other sites to be determined at a later date.
The current plan after the prototype is developed and approved is to
initially place the kiosk computers in Douglas and Benson to test the
concept before deploying them in mass. There is no current deadline for
completion. I have no experience in creating a kiosk computer. Therefore, I am
inviting any and all members who have any knowledge or experience or
would simply like to join me in this project to step forward. Please

Wouldn’t that just be making a user account that’s extremely locked down ( basically user can’t leave the browser or whatever applications you specify) and then making them SSH enabled for updates over the network.. that’s how a normal kiosk works I’d assume
