[article/question] ArchLinux and Arch Based Based Distros

Someone asked me yesterday if Arch itself was based on debian or anything like that and I guess it's not a common knowledge that arch is all built from the ground up by the community for the community.. so i figured i'd give a few articles based on why one chooses Arch... or even "Manjaro" which in 2020 a lot of experienced users online recommend new users over Ubuntu for the newer software/drivers when they built their new computers. It's still not the most friendly thing like a ubuntu or a Linux mint distro.. but Majaro compared to a Vanilla Arch install or EndeavorOS install you'd still have a GUI for most things.. and not be reliant on only the terminal for everything..

Hey, long time arch fanboy here... I would recommend arch to a new user only if they are interested in how the system works with minimal bloat. I picked up arch from a lug member who recommend I go GUI free for a month to learn the how to configure, break, reinstall, restore, and so on.
Arch is a blank slate (a pretty slick one). Blank slates are great for learning. One keeps arch around cause well... pacman is pretty rad... Assuming you like to tinker :)
