CLUG Meeting 27 June 2020
From Rex Bouwense · Jun 24, 2020
Since the Sierra Vista public library is still not allowing groups
to use their conference room we will once again conduct our monthly
meeting on line using Big Blue Button this Saturday, 27 June, at 1300.
Use any browser and go to https://bbb.azloco.net. Enter your name (first
name or nick is OK) and select join. You will be directed to a window
that asks you how you want to join (with a microphone or listen only).
Select one of the options. If you select microphone you will be
directed to an echo test where you will speak a few words. If you can
hear them select yes and you will be directed to the meeting. Please
use a headset to eliminate the background noise that the internal
microphone and speakers will produce. There is no requirement to use
your camera and it is discouraged because the server is located in
Chandler AZ and there is a band width limitation although we have
calculated that it will support 25 people at one time using their camera
and microphone but that assumed all people were in the Phoenix area.
There will be a presentation covering "How to install Ubuntu
configuring the partitions yourself". Instances covered will be
installing with a separate /home, creating a separate /home on an
already installed OS, and installing Ubuntu with Win10 as a dual boot.
In addition we will of course conduct our regular business meeting.
Attend if you can and encourage a family member, friend, neighbor, or
co-worker to attend to introduce them to the world of Linux and Free and
Open Source Software. See you there. Rex Bouwense

I realized later that it's probably the same in the computer as ext HD as far as the partitions go. But what I want to know is what file systems for the various partitions on a mac. Thanks
