darn compressed files!

From Charles Breaux · Feb 04, 2024

Please help, I’m trying install an app. Here is what the read me file says to do: and the screen shot shows what I have tried.

**Linux tar.bz2**: download the `.tar.bz2` file, extract it where ever you want to

install the app, then run `<install location>/vdhcoapp install`

**Linux other**: download the `.tar.bz2` file, unpack and move to a desired location, and run `D`

**Linux debian-based**: download the `.deb` file and install it: sudo dpkg -i <deb file>

When I right click the Deb package I this screen below is what happens, it appears that the apphas been installed, but it is not.

And I can’t make heads or tails from this command from website of the app:

These are in my Downloads folder. Would someone please show me what command I need to put in the terminal to install? Thanks, It is safe I've been using this long time, and use it a lot. Freaking out without even...
