Epson driver download

From Pasquale Aronna · Feb 16, 2020

I went into terminal and entered -sudo apt-get install lsb. It was a good command and it downloaded. Then went to Epson website and downloaded the driver for my printer which failed.Suggested remedy-sudo apt-get install-f -did not help. Went to Synaptic package mgr.-looked to locate Broken filter. Removed driver install. Tried to install driver again and got-System has broken dependencies which have to be fixed. Suggested fix was again a sudo apt-get-f install. End result is that have not been able to install printer driver. Not sure LSB package but I saw it in Snyaptic as a 9.

Epson driver download

From Pasquale Aronna · Feb 19, 2020

Have Linux mint cinnamin 19.3
Installed LSB package 9.2-deb, then
Tried to download epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.7.7-1lsb3.2_i386.deb, it would not download correctly( had broken dependencies). Got rid of  broken dependencies in synaptic pack. mgr. and installed
epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.7.7-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb, which installed. Then printed photo with same result- Darker than it should be. Any suggestions are a welcome.

Yes that is the correct place where I also got the drivers for my printer.

Just press download and you will have deb 32 and 64 so whatever system
you are using. (attach pic)

If you are not sure which one just run in a terminal
$ uname -i
x86_64 (this is my system you will get something similar)

If your printing from gimp specifically it’s probably an issue within gimp itself that isn’t going to be fixable with an easy fix... unfortunately it could be a wrong driver.. it could be a wrong color profile within gimp... the possibilities are endless

Pasquale,

Go to the printer configuration and select

standard paper-vivid

Hope this does it.

Whether printing from pictures or Gimp the sett up is the same. On my system there is not-standard paper-vivid, and have tried standard and bright white paper with no difference. Whether it's right driver is unknown to me.
