Ubuntu Server-a-thon??

Hello,
I would be interested in having a some sort of Linux (Ubuntu?) server walk through or meeting related to servers, as I think it might be interesting to some people in the community to learn how to operate a Linux server or be a part of a discussion about servers.
Could it be some sort of training event or something? Any ideas? I currently run like 3-5 servers on Digital Ocean and feel comfortable with many Ubuntu server commands and a handful of common applications, so I could be of some help. I would just need to have some sort of plan before executing it. Maybe we could see if an actual professional (I'm not a professional) could be like a guest speaker of some sort?

Excellent suggestion. Are you volunteering to give the presentation or
just asking if it can be done. AZLOCO which is a state-wide
organization with over 300 members in support of Ubuntu has been
attempting to organize a server class for individuals for over three
years but has run up against the problem of finding someone with the
expertise who will devote the time to preparing it and actually
conducting the class or classes. Since we are barely one tenth the size
with obviously fewer contacts we have the same problem. If you are
volunteering I will pencil you in at a future meeting of your choosing.
If you are aware of a "professional" who is willing to do this without
remuneration, please give me his contact information. Thank you.

Well, I would be interested in assisting any way I can for a Ubuntu server event. I’m just concerned about preparing for it, and showing up, as I don’t really have reliable transportation.
Who is AZLOCO? I find it very interesting that 300 Ubuntu users aren’t able to go over server. Did people not know enough to be confident enough to lead a meeting? Did they have plans to charge money and didn’t have content rich enough to be worth the money?
Also, I’m not sure if I know anyone who would be able to help.
I don’t want to volunteer for a presentation unless/until I’ve prepared it and have an idea on how to structure it. Am I just going to type in commands and execute them? Will there be a section where we do this together?
I’ve mostly messed around with webservers (LAMP—Linux, Apache webserver, MySQL and PHP), but I haven’t really done any other server applications. I would have to look at “good things to know about Linux server administration” and stuff.

OK. I will put the topic down on the want list for presentations
and if we find someone who is willing and qualified to give such a
presentation, we will schedule it. As for AZLOCO it is
Ubuntu-Arizona Local Community Team. It too is composed of
volunteers throughout the state and is committed to Ubuntu advocacy
and education. Most of the active members are from the Phoenix
metropolitan area although we have 10 from the Sierra Vista area.
