The Cochise Linux User Group will host a Ubuntu Hour on Thursday 13 January from 1800-1900 (6-7 pm) at Schlotzsky's, 3900 E. Fry Blvd. in Sierra Vista.  While primarily a social event, there is always discussion of Ubuntu, Linux, and Free and Open Source Software.  If you have a problem or a question we will attempt to solve it or provide an answer before the end of the meeting.  Everyone is welcome, so bring a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or a co-worker and introduce them to the wonderful world of Linux operating systems while enjoying a great sandwich and and a cup of coffee or soda.
    In addition we were able to reserve the main conference room at the Warrior Healing Center, 1838 Paseo San Luis, on 15 January from 1000-1400 (10-2 pm) for an installfest/Linux Workshop.  We have accumulated 3 donated desktop computers that need to have a Linux OS installed on them.  In addition, 5 of the computers that we have in our possession need to be updated.  These are waiting to be donated and merely need to have the latest updates installed.  These activities will be in addition to any other individual that brings in a computer for us to install a new system on it.  Attend if you can.
